Does the Sonos beam come with a remote control?

CEC applies if you're connecting Beam to your TV via HDMI. It works over the HDMI connection to send control commands between devices.

IR stands for infrared, which is how most remotes (except some of the latest RF/Bluetooth ones) send which button you're pressing to your TV or other device. If you don't/can't use HDMI, or your TV doesn't support CEC, you can program Beam to respond to your TV's IR remote volume/mute buttons.
Thanks will check it out.

Thanks, not sure what CEC or IR are though!
No, but your TV or cable/sat remote will control the beam volume through CEC or IR commands. And there is voice control and the Sonos app as well.
