Sub not doing anything

My sub disappeared from my system so I switch it off and back in and it connected right away but the sub, although connected, isn’t working. I tried switching it off and on and disconnecting then reconnecting it but still, the play bar works fine but sounds crap without the sub

Try removing the Sub from the Playbar in the Sonos app, then unplugging the Sub from power for a minute or two. Then plug the Sub back in and reconnect the Sub to the Playbar in the app.
