app not working


Hi there,  I have two play ones and a beam, all run wirelessly. App has stopped working, surrounds and beam still working, but had to turn off surrounds last night as the app not responding so I couldn’t turn bass down etc…….;((…….have done the usual, power off to speakers and beam, disconnected router, got it all working and this morning app won’t load again…...Spotify can’t find the lounge option to play music ……..aaaaaaaaaaghhhhhhhh

 

any ideas …...thanks for reading …...🤬🤬🤬

Check that app permissions have been granted. They may have changed if your controller has updated the operating system: https://support.sonos.com/s/article/3092?language=en_US

Thanks both;)))……..fixed it for the night and morning

and now not working again……..have to turn power off to speakers and router and then search for them all again …….aaaaaaaghhhhhhhh…….tried deleting app as well and reinstalling, and re booting phone …..

 

anyone else ……...love the speakers but ……….🤬🤯🤬🤯🤬🤯🤬

Most likely your network is causing this. Have you made any changes to your network, e.g. adding a mesh, wifi extender or similar? 

If your router broadcasts both 2,4 GHz and 5 GHz try disabling 5 GHz. Some users with similar problems have done so with success.

If possible try wiring the Beam with an ethernet cable.

Thanks again, will look at the router first I think, very strange ……..nothing changed or added, IOS update on the phone 📱?!?!?……

beam long way from the router but might try that as well…..

Did you deactivate “Private address” as I suggested?

If nothing helps submit a diagnostic, post the number here and wait for a Sonos representative to look into it, or call Sonos Support to discuss the diagnostic.

yeah changed the private address, will try the router 5ghz later on and probably submit a diagnostic in the mean time .

Have disabled the 5ghz on the hub and so far no more issues ;))))) makes no sense to me but ?!?!
