I have a a sonos system for more than ten years but I recently had an odd experience. Twice on coming home from holiday the system had been switched on in my absence. On the first occasion I thought that I had just been careless and not turned it off properly.  On the second ocasion I made sure it was off but when I came back it was on, tuned to a radio station that I never knew existed.  What is going on?

If you use Spotify, it is likely a Spotify Connect ‘session’. Once a person is connected to your system via Spotify Connect, they can start playback even when no longer on your WiFi.

The way to ‘break’ this ability is to play something other than Spotify before you leave, which will kill all Spotify Connect sessions that may be in existence.
