Can I use the Sub without the Arc (ordered both but only sub has come and I’m impatient). In other words, can the sub add bass to the projector speakers without having the Arc installed.

When ARC arrives, Remove SUB from from its current Room, then Add SUB to ARC.

No, the Sub must be ‘bonded’ to another Sonos speaker in order to work.
So, I guess yes, if you have another Sonos speaker to bond it to, then when the Arc arrives, just factory reset it, and set it up with the Arc.

Why would there be a need to factory reset? If the sub was being used in another Sonos “room” it can just be moved room using the app.
