I have 3x era 300s and 1x sub gen 3 in large entertainment room for music listening only. 2x Eras were connected in stereo on one end of the room and 1x era 300 is paired with the sub gen 3. the room dimensions = 5 meters x 8.5 meters x 2.5 meters (height). My issue is to do with bass since most of the bass is on the obvious half of the room.

  1. Do I need another sub or
  2. should I run each era 300 as stand alone speakers (update: I unpaired the stereo set, but now the volume seems subdued at a higher level and the era 300 bass is not great)
  3. is it a placement matter?

Please help

The Sub only connects to one Room (Zone) so you might try doing:

A Stereo pair and Sub then Grouping in the remaining 300.

All three Grouped with the Sub tied to just one.

If you do the full sized Sub with the Stereo Pair you might only need a mini-Sub with the remaining 300 to get balanced volume levels.

Thanks Stanley, I will try your suggestion

With folks looking to fill larger rooms with sound it would be really nice if Sonos offered more flexibility in setups and sharing Subs.

Having multiple mono Sonos, multiple Stereo Pairs or even a mix of the two that could share a Sub or even two would be a big plus.
