Hi there - I’m sure I’m one of thousands that’s potentially having the same issue. I recently had to update my rooter and am now trying to connect my 3 speakers back up. I’ve lost a good few hours trying to do something that should be relatively simple.
I’ve managed to get them onto the new WiFi but they now don’t come up in the Sonos app. Would someone be able to guide me to the next steps! Thanks
Sometimes a power-off restart cures problems. Shut down speakers and router for a few minutes, and exit the app. Then restart router. When it is fully restarted and wifi is established power up the speakers, one at a time.
If this works, you probably had a duplicate ip address issue. Setting ip addresses should prevent any recurrence. Your router manual should show how, or give us make/model and someone may be able to help.
Thanks - I’ve tried the power on/ power off trick a few times with no luck.
Rooter is - HUB 4/ TG3492LG-VMB
As mentioned, it manages to connect the speakers but then still shows that there are no products available.
Did you power down ALL Sonos, reboot the router then power the Sonos back up?
PITA but that is needed to clear all the possible glitches.
If that works then assign all Sonos static/reserved addresses and power cycle and reboot one last time to lock in the changes.
Is the old router still online?
We cannot simply allow a device to declare that it is the new router and have all devices transfer to it. Otherwise, mischievous kids and drive by hackers could easily break into the network.
I’m not familiar with your router. There may be a configuration option that needs to be set.
