Sonos Play1 connection issue

Since the new Sonos app, life is hell with my Sonos. Cannot get my old speaker connected. Tried everything I think. Tried calling and gave up after 90 minutes.

It finds the speaker on my android phone app but then says it's lost connection. I've reset it, I've hard wired it.

Anyone have any ideas
