sonos one rear speakers placement

Hi, I recently finished my basement and it’s a little odd shaped but mostly rectangular. I have my tv and Arc + subwoofer installed and I can’t decide the best location for the speakers so I can run outlets for them. 
Which option seems better, option A or option B. Both options will be close to the ceiling away from the little kids, hence why I didn’t consider the stands.

I’d suggest ‘B’ as being slightly better, as they’re almost equidistant from the listener’s ears. Although ‘A’ is more behind the listener. 
 

Can you temporarily put them on boxes to test how it sounds to you, before mounting them ‘permanently’?
