I've just had to add my Sonos one back to my system as I changed the WiFi password. It's listed as being on my system but it now has the microphone disabled and pressing the mic button doesn't enable it. I had to carry out. Factory reset to get it to connect if that helps. How do I enable microphone again please?

You have, I assume, since you factory reset the device, installed a new voice system on that speaker? If there is no voice system (Amazon, Google, or Sonos), then the mic will be off by default. I would suggest that you call Sonos Support directly to discuss it.

Other than that, the microphone on/off is only connected to the button, and not software. There must be a voice control system installed for it to be ‘on’, but you can always turn it off physically.

Thanks Airgetlam for some reason it's not signing in to Amazon so I tried the Sonos voice control and microphone is now on and responsive again thanks. Just need to try and get it to register on Amazon now 🙄

If you have the Amazon Shopping App on your device, please remove it.  Then try enabling the Sonos skill within the Alexa App and link your accounts.  Once linked, you can install the Amazon Shopping App again.
