Can i link just only one era 300 to a beam gen 2 or its only possible to connect a pair of it?

You can group one Era 300 to a Beam. But if you want to use the Era 300 as a surround speaker with the Beam, it has to be a pair of Era 300s.
But it will work with dolby atmos or i need the pair to make it happen?
