Buy direct from Sonos and you can home-trial it. Return it for a refund if you don’t like it.

For a big room, the full-size Sub will be better. Since you already have one, temporarily de-bond it from the HT system, add it to the Fives and have a listen. 

I am sure the sub will make the 5’s sound better but I don’t want to go through the hassle of switching back and forth was just wondering if a mini sub would be worth the addition.  I am guessing yes and may just order one and if it is t return it.  Thanks for the advice

The sub mini will be fine with the Fives. Go for it!
