Hi, are there any users in France with an Era 300 and an Orange internet acces with a Livebox 5 router? I'm trying to set up my new Era 300, but can't get the WiFi connection to work: the initial connection to the Sonos app on my Android GSM works fine, but when I enter the WiFi password,  the system can't connect. I've tried all possible router reconfigurations, incl.separate 2.4 and 5 GHz SSIDs, with and without WPA security keys/passwords, but nothing works.

Grateful for any solutions or useful hints. Thanks!

Hi @Pointsman

Welcome to the Sonos Community! And, apologies for the delay.

Sorry to hear of the trouble you’ve been having with adding your Era 300 to your WiFi network.

I am not familiar with that router, but if it is common in France, then a support agent covering your area will be - I recommend you get in touch with our technical support team who have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your Sonos system and what it reports.

Before doing so, however, I recommend trying WiFi setup again after rebooting your router and phone - please leave the router off for at least 30 seconds when doing so.

Please note that if your Orange connection is LTE (mobile/cellular network) then it is unsupported.

I hope this helps.

Hi Corry, thanks for getting in touch. I found the solution in one of the Orange Forums - simple but weird: after I tried the setup via the Sonos app our mobile phones (both Samsung/Android and iPhone) without success, a helpful soul suggested to use a tablet instead. So I installed the Sonos app on my old Samsung tablet, and the initial setup worked without a glitch! Once the speaker was connected to the Wi-Fi,  I could add the mobile phones and the Laptop without further problems, and now the installation works just  fine. No rational explanation, but the IT Voodoo did the trick.

Hope this helps other as well... Best regards, Roland
