I moved home and now have a new wifi network. Have tried to set up 2 x Play 1’s on the network but nothing happens. Even when Play 1 is connected via ethernet it is still undiscoverable during the set up new network process.
Factory reset process also just ends in a solid orange light. Can not get to green light at all, again ethernet cable plugged in.
Play 1 can not be added to new network

id be surprised if both speakers were overheating at the same time, they are cool to the touch and aren’t on/used in a way that would cause over heating
If you did factory reset a speaker (as mentioned) then the status LED should flash green when ready for setup on a Sonos Household. If a reset device is not flashing green I would suspect a hardware fault. My thoughts are to try the reset process one more time. If no flashing green light is seen then I would certainly contact Sonos Support. Note there should not have been a need to reset the speaker(s).
It’s not clear from your post if you did a reset with just one or all your products. If you did factory reset ALL, then you will need to start with a new reset Sonos App too in order to create a new Sonos Household/System… but if you still have a non-reset product, then cable that to your router and use the App to connect to the ‘existing’ Sonos HH/System instead. Then add your reset product with the (hopefully) flashing green LED.🤞
