I recently changed my router and since then my Sonos system has become a complete mess..

I've tried following various pieces of advice from the web but the more I do the bigger the mess seems to get.  Should have asked the Community from the start !

My system - I just have a pair of Play 3 speakers which were set up as a stereo pair and could play music from my music library, which is on a network drive.  I only use the system with the music library, nothing fancy, not playlists, radio etc.

I have an old Android tablet with the Sonos 2 app, a Mac with Sonos 2 v16.5, and my wife has an Android Samsung phone she thinks it's an S9.

The tablet and the Mac can both access the music library, but they only seem to recognise one of the Play 3s.  The controllers on those two devices are limited in functionality and don't seem to be capable of activating the other Play 3.  So they can only play music through one speaker.

The S9 phone does seem to recognise the second Play 3 but not the first one.  Also the S9 controller is unable to add the music library,  When I try to add the path, the circle just spins.

Also the light on the second Play 3 is permanently white, if I press the play button it flashes red (or maybe orange) and then reverts to steady white.

So I'm hoping the Community can give me some proper advice to get the system working properly again, where do I start please ?

You say that you have followed various guides on the web, but have you followed the guidance published by Sonos themselves?

Probably the simplest first step when adding a new router is to make sure that the wifi connection details are the same as those on the old router (by setting the SSID and wireless network password to be the same as the old one). If you do that you may find that you need to change very little else.

I should add that it’s not a “fixes every issue” step, but it’s a good starting point.

If you temporarily wire the PLAY:3’s to the network are they stable?

buzz - thank you for your reply but I don’t understand it.

What do you mean by ‘wire the Play 3s to the network’ and what do you mean by stable ?

Connect the network ports of the PLAY:3’s to your router. After wiring the system to the network, does it work as expected?
