My era 100 will not accept my wifi password. I am with Sky and as far as I know I do not have the option to split my signal.
Hi
Welcome to the Sonos Community!
Sorry to hear of this issue you have been having with connecting your Era 100 speaker to your Sky WiFi.
Do you have any Sky TV boxes? If so, they will be rebroadcasting your Sky WiFi, but in a way not supported by Sonos. To work around this, please switch off your Sky TV box while setting up your Sonos speaker.
If this works for you, you may want to look into disabling the broadcast from your Sky TV box(es) - I recommend you get in touch with our technical support team who will look into your options.
If you don’t have Sky TV, please turn your router off for at least 30 seconds, and reboot your phone/tablet while waiting for WiFi to return.
I hope this helps.
I have the same problem – can’t connect my Era 100 to my Sky WiFi router. Tried installing through Sonos App on different Android phones, tried restarting router, phone and speaker. Sky router settings seem to be fine. Error message: "We couldn't connect to network name]. Make sure you're using the right Wi-Fi and password, then try again."
What did the technical support team say, when you called them?
I now managed to connect the speaker. I wasn’t able to call support and I gave up waiting for support on the chat. Today I reinstalled the app on my phone and was able to connect. Next challenge: Adding Ikea Symfonisk to the system. If only installation of Sonos speakers were a little easier!
