I have a beamgen2 and 2 era speakers but cant get any sond from speakers while watching a film ?
Not much information to go on, unfortunately. Have you followed the instructions here?

What TV do you have? How is the Beam connected to the TV?

Yes Bruce, I can hear the faint sound in the speaker but can’t get any volume
That’s odd. Have you tried a power cycle of both the TV set, and the Beam? You’ve also double checked that the HDMI cable is connected to the HDMI port on the TV labeled ARC, and not another HDMI port?
Have you called Sonos Support directly to discuss it?
Just to be clear, a power cycle doesn’t mean turning off a device with a remote, that puts it in standby, and doesn’t force a reload of the OS. What I mean is actually unplugging both devices from power for at least 2 or 3 minutes.
