We have a  Sonos Playbar that my husband was given a few years ago when his place of work went out of business. It’s worked fine for years (on wifi) but Spotify no longer recognizes it,, and when we try to sign on to the app it shows a abbreviated version of someone else’s email, and won’t accept ours. Nothing has changed on our end, and all apps are up to date. Thanks for any advice!

Here’s how to fix the email thing, covered in the the manage your account FAQ.

After you fix that, I’d recommend removing and re installing the Spotify plug in in your Sonos controller.
