Hello All,

Having some connection issues with my Sonos setup. Stupidly decided to try and connect it to a new router when it was all working fine. I have two Sonos 1’s, Playbar and Sub.

Have factory reset all the speakers, plug the ethernet cable from the router into my speakers, carry out the setup and all goes fine, no issues. However when I remove the ethernet cable from the speaker I lose the speaker from the app and ‘No products found’ appears. Wifi is enabled in all speakers so it’s not that. As soon as the ethernet cable is plugged back in, I can pickup the speaker on the app again.

The router is in a different room so can’t really have an ethernet cable in a speaker to keep it connected.

New router, did you use a new SSID and password? If so revert to the old ones. Reboot everything and hope it works. (Sonos removed the ability to edit wifi on our speakers so changing it is not possible without factory reset)

Edit: just read you reset all speakers, disregard my advice as a result

After doing the error of doing the Factory reset you are pretty much toast. It should be avoided in most situations as it usually makes things worse, not better.

You now need to follow the “new Sonos setup” instructions to get it working, then re-add all your services, recreate your play lists and repopulate your My Sonos.

Without the factory reset you’d just need to set your router to use your old SSID and password as suggested above.

Have finally managed to get 3 of the 4 connected to the wifi now, Sub still playing up but will try disabling the 5ghz channel then try again. May have been a setup error on my part, always thought the older equipment needed to be wired for initial setup but seems not.
