Is it possible to connect Sonos speakers to a Marantz MCR612 via Bluetooth or do they need to be hardwired?

But would the Marantz not be a an amplifier with a bluetooth receiver not a transmitter (like most receivers)? If so connecting any (bluetooth capable) Sonos speakers via bluetooth would not be possible.

Some Sonos speakers (the Five or the Era’s with the use of a Sonos adaptor) can be wired use the line out on a receiver (note: not wired to the speaker connections).

No, Bluetooth is a wireless protocol. The Sonos speakers do need to have a Bluetooth capability, some do not.
