CD Player for Sonos Beam G2

Hey there,

I’d like to connect my Sonos Beam with TV and CD Player. So I’m thinking about buying some CD player for that purpose, could you be so kind and send me some good examples? Another thing is the connection itself, the beam is connected with the TV by HDMI Arc, the CD Player might be connected with HDMI (I assume) but the question is whether the TV will have to be launched for everything to work? Or once the CD player is turned on and the CD is there, the sound will be played by the soundbar?

Thanks for help.

There’s no CD-players with HDMI, but you could get a BD-player that would connect to the TV via HDMI. But the TV would have to be turned on when you’d be playing CD’s, see https://www.sonos.com/shop/port

The Sonos way of doing this would be to buy a Sonos Port and a CD-player. To find the right CD player take a look here: https://www.whathifi.com/products/hi-fi/cd-players You would not have to buy a crazy expensive CD player - I own a Marantz myself.
