I’m trying to reset my Sonos play 1 speakers after updating the app. The speakers stopped working the other day and the system disappeared and I was told by the app that I needed to update the app. After updating the app it said it found no system. So I’m trying to connect my speakers again, and resetting them appears to be the only option since the app update doesn’t see any system. After unplugging the speakers, holding the play button down and replugging it in until the light blinks orange. After that, nothing else happens. It never switches to green even after waiting 10 minutes.  I’ve unplugged it and now it just blinks white.

how do I get the system to work again?

Flashing white light means waiting to connect to a network or updating.

Hi @wolfcoach

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

Sorry to hear of this issue you are having with your Play:1.

I recommend you get in touch with our technical support team who have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your Sonos system and what it reports.

I hope this helps.

This happened to one of two play1 speakers

how do I get the speaker to work again?

Hi @Kjell-B

Please connect your Play:1 to your router with an ethernet cable to perform the factory reset. Please note that if this works, you will not need to do it for this particular unit ever again - future resets (should you need to perform them) on this speaker should work without the ethernet cable attached.

I hope this helps.
