Same here with any Sonos Airplay supporting speaker. Works without problems from iphone but not from iTunes on windows.

Seems to be a bug… not sure if it´s one of Sonos or of iTunes.

Hi @dkrinker

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

Sorry to hear of this issue you are having with playing AirPlay from iTunes to your Era 300.

I recommend you get in touch with our technical support team who have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your Sonos system and what it reports.

It may help, however, to reboot all the devices involved - your PC, your speaker, and your router. Please try this first.

I hope this helps.

@dkrinker

I did some further investigating and also reached out to German Support. They know about the problem and were able to reproduce it.
In fact it’s not a general Airplay issue as just Win iTunes is affected.
Also not all Sonos devices are affected. For me I can confirm that both Eras (100 and 300) and also Move2 have this issue. Other devices like my Beam2, Roam1, One and P5 Gen2 are working via AirPlay via Win iTunes.
So I think waiting for a fix is the best option.

well ok, in that case i can stop trying, just wait fo 3th party solution.

Hello

You can add the new Arc Ultra to the list (i just received it).

No sound from iTunes on my PC by AirPlay.

I can find and select the device but no sound.

Even the sonos app indicates that Music is being streamed (!) but no sound.

No other issue with AirPlay on my PC/iTunes : My Roam works perfectly as my old Arc was too.

On the other hand the AirPlay/Arc Ultra works perfectly from my IPhone.

The issue is between the PC/iTunes and the Arc Ultra (Firmware/Software ?).

I Will try all the advices found here and will tell if something works.

Try turning off WiFi 6e on all of your devices you are casting from so it uses older wifi standards.  This worked for me.

In this case windows / iTunes or Apple Music App is the „casting“ device. How should it be possible to turn of wifi 6e in windows 10 settings?

Btw. I my router doesn’t support wifi 6 at all. Just my newer Sonos devices do so. So I think there wil be no wifi 6 usage at all if the router doesn’t support it.
But maybe there is a setting in windows 10 to get airplay working again with newer Sonos devices.

But which setting???
