Can a Sonos Play 3 with a S1 controller play FLAC and album-files?

I’m using a Play 3 on a Windows desktop with a S1 Controller.

My question is: .Can a Sonos Play 3 with a S1 controller play FLAC and album-files?

Yes, S1 is able to play FLAC files with a maximum bit-rate of 16-bit.Please see this link forsupported audio formats

Some files are at a bit rate of 24 bit. Is there a way to convert this to 16 bit so that my Sonos can play it?
