Hi,
I am just setting up a Playbar in a Standard configuration. I notice it has 2 x RJ-45 ports on its back. And one short Ethernet cable was included in the packaging. What is their purpose?

Any Sonos speaker can be connected by Ethernet to your router. Doing so puts Sonos into "Boost" mode, which means that Sonos' mesh networking technology comes into play.

When in Boost mode, the Ethernet ports are active and any device (e.g. a laptop) may be connected to your network via the ports.

In standard setup the ports are inactive.

That is what I thought but no documentation on their usage was included in the packaging. And the Support website doesn't have a port usage diagram either. One has to delve into the BOOST documentation to find out that they are utilized.
Thanks John B.
