Hi,

My son have put a toy in the Sonos subwoofer.

You can hear it “rattle” when subwoofer is playing.

I have tried to turn the subwoofer around to get the toy to fall out but it seems like it is stuck inside.

Is there any way to open the subwoofer to get it out?

/an annoyed dad...

I can’t tell you if there is any way to get into the Sub. I’m sure there is and you might find if you search.

What I will say is this.

If you have any warranty then opening the Sub will void it. So how old it is will help you decide what to do. Is the toy metallic - if so then it probably needs removing. If it’s not potentially damaging to the Sub and it doesn’t affect the audio quality AND your son doesn't want it back then I’d leave it there.

If it is still in warranty then contact Sonos to see what they could do

You are not alone, see this thread.

Sonos should sell a “condom” folks with small children, cats or small rodents could slip over the sub.

Or maybe come up with some type of grill / cover for the opening.

Other people sell these: https://www.amazon.com/Soundskins-Sonos-Textile-Cover-Charcoal/dp/B07F6FZDXV/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=Soundskins+sub&qid=1576402671&sr=8-1
