Have a mix of 5s and 3s in different rooms. I cannot listen to any music on Spotify without at some point the music jumping half way through the song, stopping completely, loosing connection to spotify, or randomly stopping in certain speakers. It's doing my head in!! Sometimes different devices will show different speakers available! Would really welcome help!
Hi, James. Welcome to the community. Could you submit a diagnostic of your system and respond with the corresponding confirmation? One of our agents will take a look. Thank you.
Thanks. Ref 7461498
Hi James, thanks for the diagnostic.

I can see there is a lot of wireless interference within the local environment, could you make sure the BOOST isn't too close to the router itself and any other wireless devices, such as cordless phone base stations, baby monitors, wireless heating and lighting controllers ( ideally keep 1-2 feet free around the BOOST ). Then could you change the Sonosnet channel in advanced settings to channel 1 and then after about 10 minutes submit another diagnostic, make a note of the number and then change it to channel 6 and again wait around 10 minutes and then reply with both diagnostic numbers and we can see what the best wireless channel for SONOS to be on to reduce the interference as much as possible. To change the channel within the SONOS App , go to "settings"->"advanced settings" -> "Sonosnet Channel".

There also appears to be some multicast flooding occurring on the network, could you make sure that any network infrastructure devices you have, such as the router, switches have IGMP Snooping turned on.

If the playback doesn't improve on either of the other two channels, could you confirm you broadband provider which router you have and what is physically connected to it, other than the power, and internet connection?

Then do you have any other networking infrastructure devices in your network, such as wireless boosters, extenders, repeaters, powerline adapters, access points or switches, if so what are they and how are they connected to your network?

Many thanks
Channel 1 – ref - 7471240.

Channel 6 – ref - 7471240.

Thanks.
Hi John, thanks for doing that for us. Channel 1 looks like the best one for you, although really there's still a lot of interference we need to deal with. Please try to move everything electrical or electromagnetic as far away from your BOOST as you can, and ensure the BOOST is not sitting on a very dense surface such as metal, stone or glass. The same really goes for all your system. Check out our guide on reducing interference here.
