Sonos Arc - masking tape in cover

I just received and opened my Sonos Arc and noticed that there is a masking tape on the right side of the speaker that’s tucked in the speaker cover. I pulled the tape and some of it is still left in the between the speaker cover. Is this normal? Is there a way to open the side cover to remove the tape.

No, not normal.

Arc should have been packed in a black bag and there should not have been any fingerprints, marks, or stray tape on the unit.

From your second picture it seems as if this unit has been banged around a bit.

I would not attempt to remove that tape.

Thanks, probably going to return it for a replacement.
