As a stand-alone iPhone app, TuneIn Radio can play rtmp streams no problem, but the TuneIn service within Sonos cannot do it ("incorrectly encoded" error message). Let's get rtmp capability up and running in Sonos asap!

Nice work, Chris! Glad to hear the team at Sonos are working on HLS. But what about RTMP? Keep up the good work, Sonos! Fantastic effort!

Inching their work is limited to HLS and possibly DASH. Both newer standards. We don't know yet really what the final implementation will cover. Probably another month or so before we know more.

Is there any word on this? Does Sonos now support HLS, or even RTMP? I need to be able to play streams from Wowza, and currently they are in rtmp format...

BUMP! Also wanting to see if there's any progress on this. Been setting a few older friends' places up with Sonos gear and it's a hard sell when they can't listen to the (Australian) footy through lack of RTMP support.
