Two Play:1s are a stereo pair and fade in and out of a sound that lacks body and can be described as thin and metallic. I'm no sound engineer but it's as if the bass just completely fades, or drops out, before popping back. Has anyone else experienced this?

How about the sound quality if they are set up individually?
Does this happen to all music services?
Try to power cycle both speakers also, also if they are near to each other probably give some distance on both speakers so we can isolate if the issue is on both speakers or in just one device?
