Hello Sonos Team


Happy Wednesday, I was checking details on your Sonos Play 5 generation 2 & 3 and just wondering is possible to adjust-update the app so all generations can pair, which will increase customer experience since final users will be able to pair their devices to enjoy the high quality of this amazing products.

There’s no Play 5 generation 2. There’s the Play 5 (Gen 1 and Gen 2) and the Five. You mean “group” not “pair”. Play 5 Gen 1 works on S1 software only, Gen 2 on S1 and S2 and the Five is Gen 2 only. So both Play 5’s can be grouped (on S1) and Gen 2 and Five can be grouped (on S2). S1 and S2 devices cannot be grouped using the Sonos app (though possibly can be grouped using third party apps). I do not see Sonos changing this.
