Setup tips: there are several. Look for posts from ​@AjTrek1 in particular. He’s started several topics that discuss minor vagaries of networking, which Sonos relies. I’d recommend a couple things in particular. Stick with a 2.4 GHz channel, it travels better through objects in your home, streaming music doesn’t need the extra speed offered by 5Ghz. And set up reserved IP addresses, if you can, on your router, for all your Sonos devices. Unfortunately, my current router doesn’t allow that, but in the past, it has helped me. Instructions would be in your router’s manual, each seems to handle them slightly differently, and are not available to be set up by ‘clients’ to the network, so Sonos can’t do it, you have to do it manually. 

As for music recommendations, that’s purely preference based.
