So I just purchased two One's at best buy (White and Black). The black one said gen 2 which led to some confusion when I asked if I could also get a gen 2 for the white. I can't find any information about the gen 2's, except they are available on preorder at Amazon. I haven't opened the boxes yet to determine the difference. There is no information on the Sonos site about the gen 2 yet. Does anyone have any more information on what the differences are?
If past history is any indication, I don’t think you need to worry, ar least for several years.
Well I hope so. Want to invest in more Sonos!

Sonos tells us the new Sonos One Gen 2 has had some small internal updates,

including "the addition of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE),

an updated processor, and increased memory".

But there's no affect on the overall features available nor to the external design.
I wonder and hope that the added memory was for Google support. I also wonder if you could have a gen 1 right and gen 2 left paired as stereo?
They've already said that both Gen 1 and Gen 2 will support Google, so the extra memory can't be for that.

Yes, you can have both generations paired as stereo, or bonded as surround speakers.

There are many of us who have already received these.
