Difference between Play:1 2015 vs 2017
Guys, I ordered a couple of Play1's from the Sonos website last week. Amazon then had a sale for Play1 two days ago so I ordered it from Amazon thinking I'll return the previous ones. When the Amazon ones arrived I noticed that the boxing is different and when I read the year manufactured it was 2015. On the previous ones it's 2017. Is there a difference in the hardware capability wise? I tried looking online but didn't find anything. I'm worried it might not support future integrations. The hardware number of the 2015's one is 1.20.1.6-1.

No, they're exactly the same thing, just with different cardboard packages. There are no gen 1 or gen 2 when talking about PLAY:1s.
