Hi. The Sonos One is an Alexa-enabled speaker. It is not an Echo device.
I use my Sonos One to control my Smart Home devices with no problems. Can you confirm the Smart Home devices that you have issues with and the voice commands you are using?
My devices are all sonoff light switch and sonoff pow running through EWelink.
Alexa turn on the water pump
Alex turn on the toilet light
Alex turn on the fish pond light
All commands work flawless with the Amazon Alexa dot.
Thanks for any help in advance

I don't use those specific devices but I can't see why they wouldn't be compatible. Can you open the Alexa App>Settings>History and check that Alexa heard you correctly from the Sonos One. If yes, then I suggest you contact Sonos Tech support.
