roam will not charge despite factory reset

Roam gone from sonos app. Successful factory reset done and orange light illuminated. Has been charging on sonos provided charger for 24 hrs. and orange light still illuminated, but roam not charged.

If the orange charge light remains on, then it’s most likely a battery issue. If your Roam is still under warranty, you should give Sonos a call.

One of my Roams began acting similarly this past week. Couldn’t reset, couldn’t get the button to make any sounds, and the Roam was reported missing in the app. The only sign of life was a solid orange light when connected to power that would go out when unplugged. After a bit of research, I opted to dismantle my two-year-old Roam and replace the failed battery. The fix worked since I’m listening to the Roam as I type this.
