Move 2 stops playing when some  louder voices are detected, despite having voice control off. It works well when the room is quiet . It automatically resumes music after 30 40 seconds after the stop. Other speakers continue playing during the same time

Odd, I wouldn’t think it should do that. The next time it happens, I would submit a system diagnostic within 10 minutes, and then call Sonos Support to discuss it.

There may be information included in the diagnostic that will help Sonos pinpoint the issue and help you find a solution.

When you speak directly to the Support staff, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.

Thanks for your responses

yes the microphone was off

and thanks for the Sonos support advice

I find move 2 more difficult and slower in the system than my 3 play 1 .

Since the Move 2 has a faster CPU and more memory for the OS, that certainly suggests a network issue locally.
