Whenever I try to group my roam room (which has only one speaker) to another room (I have two others: one with a play1 and one with two play5s and a sub), I get an error in the iOS app that it can’t connect. Grouping my other two rooms together works no problem. 
 

I can play music on the roam alone so connection to wifi isn’t the issue. 
 

I also haven’t been able to get through to Sonos support in a while so if anyone has suggestions for that too, let me know. 

I have the same problem. It used to work! But since the last months updates (around when we got a new android app) I cannot get my Roam SL to pair with other rooms. 
I use Android. 


It works again after getting version 79.1-54060 on all devises
