Hi Sonos Team,

I currently have a Sonos Arc paired with two Era 300s and a Sub (Gen 3), and I’m absolutely loving the immersive Dolby Atmos experience. However, I’ve noticed that the system doesn’t currently support DTS-HD or DTS:X formats, which are still prevalent in Blu-rays and high-quality media content.

Are there any plans to include DTS-HD and DTS:X support in future updates, or is this a limitation tied to hardware or licensing considerations? Adding this feature would significantly enhance the system’s versatility for home theater enthusiasts like me.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

Whilst these forums do have Sonos representatives it’s mainly a user forum so I’m not sure how much we can advise you here. But note that Sonos don’t generally pre-announce new developments so you’ll probably get no more than an acknowledgment that your enhancement request has been passed along to the relevant teams.

Given the length of time they’ve had so far to add these formats, it does seem unlikely, though. Within, of course, the restraints mentioned by @nik9669a , this community is unlikely to really ‘know’ what Sonos is going to do in the future.
