What is preventing my Sub G1 from connecting?

Hello,

My subwoofer keeps expiring unexpectedly.

As in, it briefly turns off before turning back on. When I stop and restart it, it always starts. It seems to happen more frequently when I play it at medium to low volumes.

What are your thoughts?

Moderator edit: Corrected autocorrected “subscription” to “subwoofer”.

My initial thought is a duplicate IP address. Try unplugging all Sonos devices from power, then reboot your router. Once the router comes back up, plug back in your Sonos devices.

My second thought is some potential wifi interference . It’s worth reading through the linked FAQ and making some potential changes.

My third thought is a hardware fault. I’d encourage yo, when it is working, to submit a system diagnostic within 10 minutes of experiencing this problem, and call Sonos Support to discuss it.

There may be information included in the diagnostic that will help Sonos pinpoint the issue and help you find a solution.

When you speak directly to the phone folks, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your Sonos system and network.

I don’t know, seemed like Sub G1 was a pretty specific reference on a a Sonos forum, the only lacking information would have been what it was bonded to, and what OS it was running. But it’s a pretty specific reference to a single Sonos device.
