I have my bar connected to the tv through an optical cable. This works. I can hear the tv through the Ray. When I turn on Sonus I can’t hear anything. What do I need to change my settings to?

Usually, when you can’t ‘hear’ a source, when using an optical connection like the Sonos Ray uses, it’s because the source being sent is of a codec that can’t be read. Make sure your TV and whatever is feeding it is sending at most a Dolby Digital signal. The optical connection can not pass higher bandwidth signals like Dolby Digital Plus and Atmos.
