Using only Beam but Sonos app still says DD5.1

Hi!

I have a Beam (1st generation) connected to my Samsung tv using ARC. The Sonos app says that it is outputting Dolby Digital 5.1 but I’m not sure if this is the correct format. Since I am only using the Beam and have not connected any surround speakers, shouldn’t this be in some other stereo format?

I just want to get the best sound from my speaker :)

“Dolby Digital 5.1” is what you want to see when playing 5.1 audio. The Beam will just down mix the surround channels and play the 5.1 audio as 3.1.
