using home theater away from home

I’m looking at running a small cinema club at a local hall near me. I’d like to take my Sonos home theatre there and run from my laptop.

Will the Sonos system still sync together when used away from my home wifi?

If so, would i still be able to do Spacial tuning for Atmos playback?

has anyone tried this?

 Cheers

The speakers need a network to work. If there’s not a network at the hall you’ll need to set one up, and either have the same network name as your home system, or reset your system to work in the one at the hall (and then reset back to your home network once you’re done for the evening).

If the hall has a network you might look at using a travel router to connect to it, set the SSID and password the same as your home system and Sonos should be happy.

That might also work if you hook the travel router to your phone’s hot-spot but then you’d need a second phone/tablet/computer to use as a controller.
