Sonos surround speakers

Hi all, symple question here: can I pairing one Sonos Play:5 gen2 and one Sonos Five, to form a couple of surrounfld speakers or a couple of a stereo speakers? Are they compatible?

A Sonos Five and a Play:5 (gen2) cannot be stereo paired together, nor each used bonded as a HT surround. They need to be the same model to do those things. They are acoustically different so would not ideally work together in those situations. Note they are listed separately in this related support article too:

Thank you Ken for your explanation. I think I'll go with a couple of era 300s.
