Any updates or possibly there’s already a thread/post here on when the new Lasso will be released?

Based on the status of the Sonos homepage currently, I expect we will get an official annoucement in the next few hours.

Too many leaks for them not to release the information, especially if the release date is the 29th October like these pages suggest and they always do the pre-orders two weeks prior.

Just to add the speculation for fun info (via Reddit)

-true play tuning with Android

-built in subwoofer

-9.1.4 output (how many channels with era surrounds?

with the new hardware we should be getting an app update that fixes all remaining bugs and add all missing features (as promised by Patrick :)

The Arc Ultra houses a whopping fourteen drivers—three more than the Arc—consisting of seven tweeters, six midwoofers, and a built-in subwoofer. Each driver, engineered by Sonos, is precisely placed and angled within the soundbar to deliver 9.1.4 channels of sound all on its own. Fifteen class-D digital amplifiers, perfectly tuned to the soundbar’s unique acoustic architecture, power each driver individually to optimize the sound for every channel. Designed with their new Sound Motion technology, the Sonos Arc Ultra envelopes you in precision sound from every direction. With Sound Motion, Sonos has found a way to deliver improved and more dynamic sound in a sleeker design.

To further improve accuracy and clarity, integrated microphones and Sonos Trueplay software allow the Arc Ultra to “listen” to your space and fine tune the EQ based on the room’s acoustics. With the Arc Ultra, Trueplay tuning is not just available for iOS, but for Android devices as well. Additionally, a more advanced adjustable dialog enhancement feature will help you never miss a word.”

I hope what Spence says about the app being back to (almost) feature parity and quality (whatever that means) is true. My feeling, as I have to force quite the app once again, is that this is another Spence miss-truth.
