It’s hit or miss with Samsung TVs with eARC. Many users have zero issues while others experience problems. You just have to test it out for yourself. If you have problems, you can always return the Arc.
Just be sure your TV is up to date with the latest software/firmware and set the Digital Output Audio Format setting to Pass-Through.
Consider a Sony…I have 3 with eARC and no issues. I’m sure not everyone has been issue free but I see a lot less Sony Tv issues with the Arc.

Thanks for the reply and the settings tips. I probably will just take the risk and buy the Arc and then return it if it doesn’t work. Fingers crossed everything goes well and I get to enjoy the Arc.

Thanks for the suggestion. I actually have quite enjoyed the Samsung TV and have encountered zero problems with the model I have but I will definitely take a look at Sony models in the future if I’m about to buy a new TV.
It'd be great to know how jvah got on!
Did you get the Arc & Era setup?
Did it work?
Do tell!
I did get the Arc and have later expanded the system by getting Ones as surround speakers and a Sub Mini (I live in an apartment so I was afraid the Sub Gen 3 would disturb the neighbours too much).
Overall I have been super happy with the system and have experienced no problems at all.

I had a pair of Era 100s and, when I got an Arc, I temporarily relocated the E100s to use with the Arc as surround speakers, and it was great — so I ordered a pair of E300s as Atmos-enabled surrounds, and returned the E100s to their original location.
I recently added a Sub (Gen 3) to the Arc and the sound is great, although I'm not sure I'm getting height on Atmos through our Samsung QN95A.
(I've just ordered an Atmos Blu-ray version of Ziggy Stardust, so I'll be able to check if I get a decent height response through the Arc & E300s from music via a PS5)
