I put up my Gen 1 Beam for sale so I did a reset and it flashed green indicating a successful reset but it’s still showing up on my devices in system. Did I do something wrong or does it take a specific amount of time for it to disappear?

The Beam will disappear from the Sonos app on its own. Just give it a few days.
You can force it to disappear sooner by rebooting all your other Sonos devices and your router, as well as force closing the app.
