RAY sending me crazy

Hi. My new ray is driving me crazy.

I set the device up with the new app. It's prompting me for an update but then comes up with Error 1000 and can't update the device. 

What is worse is that it only allows me the prompt for the update and so I'm locked out of the other devices on my system.

Any help VERY gratefully received.
