Hi. First time posting. I did a search, so if this is answered elsewhere, do direct me please.
Goal: Use a Connect Amp (Gen 1) and two B&W speakers as the sound output for my nice but old Philips TV.
Output: My choices on the TV are HDMI, HDMI ARC, Digital Audio, and the trusty-old Headphone jack (3.5mm).
Input: The Amp has RCA left and right.
My hunch: Headphone jack directly to the RCAs and call it a day. I ordered a $10 cable from Amazon and hope it works.
Questions: Think it’ll work? What about the mystical “delay” that seems to exist or not depending on … something? Generally speaking, will the use of the headphone jack simply direct the sound that way or does one need to select that as the preferred output? Can I set the Sonos volume to something reasonable and then use the TV audio controller to raise and lower the sound rather than control the Sonos using the phone?
Thank you and best wishes.
