Question

Maintain 5.1 Surround & Fill Open-concept Room with SONOS Sound?

Just set up SONOS PLAYBASE, 2x Play:1, and a Sub at one end of an open-concept living room/dining room/kitchen area of house. It rocks!

Well, at that end of the space. Not so much at the middle and other end of the space. Which is the kitchen; so cooking's no fun.

Any suggestions how best to fill the whole open-space with sound, while maintaining the 5.1 sound stage in the "living room" side of the space?

Thanks much! ??

Just get yourself some Play speakers (1s or 5s) for the kitchen end. When you want music at that end, just play through those speakers, or group the Playbar 5.1 setup with those speakers when you want to fill the whole space.

The 5.1 and additional speakers would not sync perfectly for TV sound though. Just so you know.

John B thank you for the advice.

I'll try adding a stereo pair of Play:1 at the other end of the open space.

Cheers
